TET Trung THU
On September 19th we participated a wonderful party in Sommacampagna organized by the Vietnamese community at the "feast or festival Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival."
We started our 3 without really knowing what to expect! But we were very curious!
As soon as we arrived we were kidnapped by the colors and atmosphere: for a few hours it seemed to be back in Vetnam!
E 'was a very simple celebration, and the banner of joy of being together: we liked it very much!
We learned that in Vietnam this festival is especially dedicated to children, whose parents built with paper lanterns, which are then go for a walk in the moonlight, and then let them go into the stream. It 's time in which they are entrusted to the moon and expressed the wishes of everyone, especially those concerning love and success at school.
Italian-Vietnamese children present (who are fluent in two languages \u200b\u200bas if nothing had happened!) Sang the song of the folk tradition related to this feast, of course I carry the translation:
the feast of the moon ....
a procession of lanterns
rallies in all districts of the city with joy and happiness
dancing, singing in the lantern
hand under the moonlight and star-shaped lantern
carp lantern swan and butterfly
arrival up to the moon
lantern light green and violet blue and white
lantern shines their light colorful ....
It 's been living in Viet Cong-style, from food (squisiti!), songs, costumes, and the mess! The children were all invited to go on stage, with their lantern in hand, it was nice and exciting to see all these wonders invade the space peacefully and enjoy their moment of fame!
This is a plate of sweets, strange, made with soy green, all-natural (the color made me think otherwise), sweet and very good.
All the kids were decked with paper lanterns, colorful, then we hung in the bedroom of Thomas in memory of this beautiful Sunday!
We were very lucky because we also found a beautiful sunny day!
Thomas is still a bit too small to fully appreciate, but I think he felt that there was a special atmosphere in the air.
During the festival were offered to all lots of opportunities to get closer to the culture of Vietnamese people, from the laboratory Vietnamese language, dances and traditional songs. Did not fail even more typically Western entertainment with a magician and face painting.
We believe that this festival will become a fixture on our family, we were just fine even if I did come a lot of nostalgia for Vietnam!
Elisa78 ... ... maybe next time you come you too!
